MedwayGo - Medway Council are working with local organisations to offer children four weeks of fun this August.

The MedwayGo summer activity clubs are open to all; with free places for children in receipt of benefits-related free-school meals. Children will get to try out lots of fun activities, from sports and music to arts and cooking. A daily tasty and nourishing meal is also included. You will be able to book a place online from today.

The BeYou Project - Porchlight - Porchlight is now running its BeYou project at Medway Youth Service centres. The project offers information, advice and support for LGBT+ young people aged 13-18 and offers weekly meetups at four Medway Youth Centres. These are safe spaces that anyone who thinks they might be LGBT+ can come along to. You can meet new people who share some of the same feelings and experiences as you, socialise and just hang out in a safe and non-judgemental setting. Sessions are running:

  • Mondays - Parkwood Youth Centre, Deanwood Drive, Rainham - 4:30 to 6pm
  • Tuesdays - Woodlands Youth Centre, Woodlands Road, Gillingham – 4:30 to 6pm
  • Wednesdays – WREC Room, Pentagon - 3-5:30pm 
  • Thursdays – Strood Youth Centre, Montfort Road – 4:30-6pm

Medway Youth Summer Activities - Medway Council are offering summer activities for young people aged 8 to 18 (up to 25 for those with additional needs and disabilities).

There are limited spaces on all programmes, due to COVID-19. You must book online in advance and follow social distancing guidance.

Autism Apprentice Information

Do you care for a young person with autism/ADHD? Do you feel isolated?

With thanks to funding received, Autism Apprentice Information are offering parents/carers a chance to meet others in Medway & Swale areas.
