Today is #EarthDay! On this day we celebrate the environment and how we can make a better and cleaner habitat for the future.
At Bradfields, we care deeply about our planet and the environment, and these are some of the things we do:
Compost Bins made from recycled pallets.
Plant lots of pollinator-friendly seeds in the beds - we have just planted some seeds that were sent by The Tower Of London to celebrate the Jubilee.
Plant lots of trees around the campus.
New Water Units which reduce the use of disposable cups.
Throughout the year, students learn about recycling, saving energy and the effects of littering.
Also, as part of the UNICEF UK Rights Respecting School Award, students understand from Article 6: that they have a right to life, and Article 24: the right to good health. Both of these can be affected by climate change and damaged environments.
