Information: Intention for all Students to Return to Schools in September

3rd July 2020

Dear Parents and Carers

You may have heard the Government announcement on the 2nd July which stated the intention for all students to return to schools in September. We were very pleased to hear this as we are keen to have all our children back in the academy, as soon as it is safe to do so.

The Government have produced a range of guidance to help schools and parents prepare for a return in September. The parent guidance can be found here:

Please note that as a Specialist SEND provision we are required to follow the guidance for Special schools, which can be found here:

It is very likely that social distancing and other restrictions may still be in place and as such we are looking at how we can ensure that we follow the guidance and can bring all children and staff back safety in September. We will also be working closely with SEN Transport to ensure any groupings in the academy are reflected in the pick-up routes and student groupings on buses.

Once we have finalised our plans we will write again to communicate exactly what this will look like for the students and staff at Bradfields.

In the meantime, please continue to encourage your child to access the home learning on the academy website, use IXL and Times Table Challenge and continue to read.

Yours sincerely

Miss M Sweetlove
