Work Experience Enterprise Group
This year Bradfields Academy have embarked on a new initiative - where the students who have not been able to access work experience off site have been learning about business and enterprise. It is envisaged that these students will continue during the year to create their own enterprise projects to sell and then reinvest the profits within the enterprise to fund new and existing ideas. Eventually these students will, with support and guidance, establish their own small business where they will allocate jobs according to their skills and interests. The young people will then be able to use these roles and experiences when applying for jobs.
Currently, the students are being given ideas from which they are then creating projects, which will be sold to the Sixth Form students at the end of term 1 during a lunch time. The idea is that the selling of products will be rolled out to the whole academy later in the year. The next opportunity to purchase items created by the Bradfields Enterprise Group will be at the Christmas Fair on Saturday 4th December so please come along and support us at that event.
The pictures show some of the items created by students such as mugs, coasters and bookmarks.
