Support Ukraine Day - Friday 11th March 2022

Dear Parents/ & Carers

There is a need for us to come together as a community to support the emergency response to the conflict in eastern Ukraine. As an academy, we would like to help support the efforts of UNICEF to support the health, nutrition, HIV prevention, education, safe drinking water, sanitation and protection for children and families caught in the conflict in eastern Ukraine.

In order to support the families and children of Ukraine, Bradfields Academy will be holding a tag day for staff and students on Friday 11th March 2022.

The `Support Ukraine Day` is an opportunity for all students to come into the Academy wearing yellow and/or blue clothes or accessories to show their support to all who are caught up in the conflict within Ukraine.

If your child would like to take part in this activity, we are asking for a £1 donation to be paid via the SchoolGateway app. All funds raised will be donated to UNICEF.

Donations will help towards the following:

  • £32 could help pay for a large first aid kit for a health worker.
  • £46 could help provide a family with an emergency water and hygiene kit.
  • £80 could help pay for school supplies to help at least 20 children continue their education in an emergency.

We hope to raise as much as possible to support for children and families caught in the conflict in eastern Ukraine.

Thank you for your support

Yours sincerely
