Bradfields Academy

Our Fundraising

As an Academy, we are passionate about helping a wide variety of charities thoughout the year.

In 2017, we raised a total of £113.20 for the Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance, through our various fundraising throughout the year.

In Term 1 we have supported Jeans for Genes Day, where the students and staff wore jeans for a £1 donation, we raised over £218.60.  We supported Macmillan Coffee Morning by holding a tuck shop for staff and students.  We raised over £272.10.  The food that wasn't bought at the tuck shop was donated to the Medway Street Angels, along with donations of warm clothes and camping equipment.  On Friday 20th October 2017, we supported Wear It Pink, which raises money for Breast Cancer.  We raised £286.80

In Term 2 we went spotty for Children in Need, we had a tuck shop, sold Pudsey ears & pin badges, and staff and students had a tag day with a spotted theme.  In total we raised £608.87, our biggest fundraising collection this year.  On the 10th November, we commemorated Remembrance Day with a small service at the academy.  During that week we sold poppies, writebands and brooches, raising £96.27 for The Royal British Legion.  On the 15th December 2017, we joined in with Christmas Jumper Day.  In total we raised £243.30 for Save the Children.

In Term 4, we supported Down Syndrome Awareness Day by wearing odd socks and donating £1.  In total, we raised £61.  Our next event will be Sport Relief on Friday 23rd March.

This year, we have managed to raise a massive £1,786.94 for charity so far.

Not only do we raise money within the academy, but staff and students also raise money in their spare time.  Most recently, Mrs Halton (Assistant Prinicpal: Red & Green Zones) raised £498.66 for The Children's Trust, by cycling over 80 miles.
