Sixth Form Maple students have been learning about Holi, a Spring Festival of Colour, in their RS lessons and as part of their AQA Unit Award Qualification.
As part of their learning, students participated in a festival of colour and took part in a traditional element of Holi, where powdered paint is thrown to create loads of colour in the air and on people. Traditionally there are no rules within this activity however to accommodate sensory needs and transportation home, students on this occasion wore protective clothing over their clothes.
Later students went to a bonfire prepared by the Sixth Form Forestry Class and ate & threw popcorn.
Everyone had a lot of fun… especially the staff!
