Wearing of Face Coverings

20th November 2020

Dear Parent/Carer

We are continuing to ensure safety measures are in place to support the academy in being Covid-19 secure. We are currently in a period of National Lockdown as such the additional safety requirements are for all students (From Years 7-14) and staff to wear face coverings when they are in communal areas such as the hall or corridors.

Please can I ask that parents support us to ensure that young people who are not exempt are keeping themselves and others safe by wearing their face coverings in communal areas within the academy. In order for staff to support students in the wearing of face coverings, please could we ask you to complete the following form to indicate if your child should be wearing a face covering or if they are exempt.

Complete this Form

Should they meet the criteria for exemption, they will be issued with a badge which they will wear on their uniform during the academy day. This will then indicate to staff and other students that they do not need to be reminded to wear a face covering.

As this is a matter of health and safety, a nil response will be considered as an indication that your child is not exempt and will therefore be expected to wear a face covering.

Regards

Miss M Sweetlove
